Carol Frazier, 60, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center after a 12 month battle with melanoma cancer. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday at West Des Moines United Methodist Church with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Carol was born in Des Moines, the daughter of Hubert and Carolyn Frazier. She spent most of her life in Des Moines and worked 25 years years in the restaurant business with Chi-Chi’s. She then worked 15 years in financial services with Ameriprise and Nationwide.
Carol was a member of West Des Moines United Methodist Church, Past President of the Lions Club, and a member of DAR and the Red Hat Society. She was a world traveler and had been on three continents.
Carol is survived by her husband, Frank Cecil and her beloved dog, Samantha. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Karl.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at McLaren’s Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to Carol’s family.
