Austin Don “Arkie” Parrott, 80, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the V.A. Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Austin retired from Monarch Cement Co. and was also a West Des Moines school bus driver. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1956.
He is survived by his son, Austin Parrott, Jr.; daughter, Susan Parrott; two grandchildren, Rachael Horn and Cassandra Parrott. Austin was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa; daughter, Barbara; and his son, Jon Paul.
As requested by Mr. Parrott, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Furry Friends Refuge in West Des Moines, Iowa.
