Angela "Angie" Smith

Angela Dawn Smith, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Federated Church of Bondurant, 103 2nd St. SW, Bondurant, IA 50035.

Angie was born November 26, 1967 in Des Moines to Gary Smith and Peggy Collins. She enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren, Jasmyn, Trysten, Kyrah, Mia, Mitchell, Miracle, and Kaleb and two dogs Bronco and Dahrma May. Angie never new a stranger. She would walk up to people to tell them they were beautiful, she liked their outfit or ask, "How are you doing?" Angie took in any animal or person that needed a home, even if she didn't have enough room for herself. She had the kindest soul anyone could meet.

Angie is survived by her daughter, Tasha Leng of Des Moines; son, Cameron Schmitz of Ogden; mother, Peggy Wright of Ankeny; father, Gary Smith of Patterson; sisters, Tracey Smith of Dallas Center and Kris Smith of Pittsburg, PA; nieces, Jessie Bailey and Shelby Otis; nephews Brandon and Jeremy Evans and Cody Devilbiss; seven grandchildren, Jasmyn, Trysten and Kyrah Leng and Mia, Miracle, and Mitchell Schmitz Kaleb Busby; great-nephews, Trey Goettel, Colson, Grayson and Madax Devilbiss; and great-nieces, Kristen Bailey and Mya Eckert. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Edith Smith and Dale and Violet Collins and uncle, Jim Collins.
