Mike moved to Los Angeles at a young age with his parents, Lawrence and Juanita Ybarra, and his siblings: Lawrence, Robert, and Richard. His sister, Isabel, passed away in infancy. Mike attended Roosevelt High School and at the age of 16 went on to work for a fabric store in Downtown LA, then Bell Brands for 6 years, and then Pepsi for 31 years.
Mike is survived by his spouse, Cecilia Sepulveda, and his three children, Reyna Ybarra, Cynthia Ybarra, and David Ybarra. Mike was preceded in death by his children, Tricia M. Ybarra and Michael Ybarra.
Mike is also survived by his 12 grandchildren: Espie Molina, Perlina Allen, Jeff Ozuna, Christina Ozuna, Melanie Ozuna, Adam Brown, Gilbert Delgado, Raymond Mendoza, David A. Ybarra, Isaiah Ybarra, Jasmin Mendoza, and Arianna Ybarra. Along with 16 great-grandchildren: Tricia Saucedo, Anthony Junius II, Gregory Junius, Christian Brown, Elaina Giana Ozuna, Audrie Villamar, Kane Allen, Maxine Lopez, Amara Villamar, Marcus Villamar, Dario Valle, Victoria Lopez, Daniel Ozuna, Julian Brown, Abigail Ozuna, and Kai Delgado. Along with numerous extended family members.
Mike was an avid fisherman, loving and caring family man, and friend.
Mike continues to be loved by many people and will be remembered for having a big heart.
A visitation for Mike will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel West Covina, 2333 West Merced Ave, West Covina, CA 91790. A rosary service will occur Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM , 2333 West Merced Ave, West Covina, CA 91790. A memorial service will occur Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2713 S Grove Ave, Ontario, CA 91761. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 N Potrero Grande Dr, Rosemead, CA 91770.
