Julio (Juby) Gomez Jr. was born September 27, 1951 to Julio Gomez and Lydia Rivera. He was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. He was the eldest of 12 siblings: Rosa, Migdalia (Twiggy), Gilbert (deceased), Julio, Julita, Jeanette, Lydia (Titin), Kim, Teddy, Juan (Papa) and Jatnael.
As a child, Juby showed passion and interest in music, whether it was dancing salsa or playing his congas. Remembering him as he danced salsa, it was like looking at Fred Astaire taking over the entire ballroom. A TRUE SALSERO! Juby always dreamed of becoming a professional musician (percussionist) and although he never got to play with Tito Puente, anyone who heard him play felt love through his congas.
Juby brought so much love and joy to everyone in his presence. He had a great sense of humor and it seemed that everyone he came across always ended up smiling or laughing. His personality was infectious. He was a hard worker and a master of his trade. A TRUE TROQUERO!
Juby is a loving son, brother, father, uncle and husband. He has four loving sons: Anthony, Jason, Jonathan and Adrien. His family love him dearly and his presence will truly be missed but his spirit will continue to live through his family and friends.
Juby was a very strong man and so was his faith in the Lord. He struggled with dialysis for many years and through the troubled time he still kept his faith and continued living life to the fullest. The Lord is merciful and understood that it was time for Juby's suffering to come an end. He is right now, at this very moment, rejoicing with the love ones who has passed before him.
Let us CELEBRATE Juby's life, as he has been blessed in many ways and will continue to pass those blessings on to those that are close to him.

Acknowledges with sincere thanks and
appreciations, the prayers and expressions
of love and sympathy shown during the
lost of our loved one.
May God bless each of you in a special way.
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow,
but remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt,
and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me,
not as I am now, but as I used to be.
Because, I will remember you all,
and look on with a smile.
Understand in your hearts,
I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
