Julia Huerta Serrano was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She peacefully passed away on December 22, 2018 at the age of 87 surrounded by family. Born on July 31, 1931, she was the oldest daughter of Maria de Jesus Huerta. Julia was a faithful Catholic throughout her life and loyally attended Sunday mass weekly.
She married Jose Antonio Serrano in 1954 in Los Angeles, California where they raised three children. Julia enjoyed gardening and caring for her roses, cooking authentic Mexican meals, trips to Rosarito, listening to mariachi music, and watching her novelas. But, her biggest passion and joy in life was her family. She was fondly known for her unmatched spirit, humor and frankness. She will be tremendously missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.
Julia is survived by her three children Victor, Alma and Marisela, her four grandchildren, their spouses and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, husband and great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on January 13-14, 2018.
