I met Greg in 1969 when my parents moved from Los Angeles to North Whittier, I was 11 years old over 50 years ago. We became good friends at Pioneer High School, he was 2 years older than me, so he watched over me, he always had my 6, he my and ours DD for concerts parties you name it he was always the sober one that made sure the rest of us got home safely and that no one messed with us in the neighborhood or school.

I was NOT surprised to see him at my mom’s funeral in 2022, he was the last man standing after everyone left the services, he wanted to be sure I was going to be ok. 

We started texting each in October 2023, talking about the L.A. Kings, the concerts we went to in those early years, sharing photos. That’s when he hit me that he had cancer, but it was under control and was treatable. A few months later he told me it spread and was getting worse then in October of this year the text messaging stop.   I found out it was not good.

Thanks for being my other big brother, till we meet again on the other side.
