after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his
wife and best friend of 30 years Alicia, Daughter Yvonne Salas,
Sons Frank Salas Jr. and Nicholas Manuel Salas. As well as
Granddaughter Yvette, Grandsons Raymond, Andrew, Alex,
Mother Esther Pedraza, Stepfather Rudy Pedraza,
Stepmother Leticia Salas, Brothers Anthony, Robert, Russell,
and Bob, Sisters Yolanda, Roberta, Delia, Rose, Dolores,
Samantha, & Gina. His mother in-law Maria Gastellu,
Sister in-laws Teresa, Gloria, Becky, Margie, Elizabeth,
Brother in-law Nacho, many wonderful Godchildren,
nephews, nieces and friends also survive him.
Frank was born to Samuel Domingo Salas & Esther Pedraza
on March 10, 1956 in Torrance California. He lived in
Los Angeles, Compton, and then San Pedro. Finally he ended
up in La Puente where he met his wife Alicia. It was love at first sight;
they married on November 28, 1982. Two major passions in Frank’s life
were Family and music. Anybody that knows Frank knows how much he
loves his music everything from Al Green to The Temptations, to Bob Marley,
to The Eagles, to Jimmy Hendrix. Frank was very dedicated to his family
and was so loving and generous with us all. Some of his other passions in life
include drawing, camping, coaching little league, barbecuing his ribs while
listening to his music & cruising in his El Camino. He also loved
scratching his lotto tickets and he was a big sports fanatic,
his teams were the Lakers, Angels, & Raiders. He was a member
of St. Christopher Parish & also the Cancer Ministry. He worked
as an X-Ray Technician and also did Nerve Conductive Studies.
Frank had a new found passion and love for life and was determined
to fight back, he participated in the American Cancer Relay for Life
in which he received a metal; it was one of his best days.
To know Frank is to love Frank he loved his family and friends
very much and had a lot of hobbies he enjoyed sharing with others.
He was such a loving generous soul loved and adored by so many.
Frank will be missed immensely but never forgotten and always
in our Hearts. Rest in Paradise our sweet angel in the skies.
