Thank you for always looking out for me while I was coaching at Amat. Thank you for always looking out for my boys while they attended Amat. Your love and respect for the Woods Family will always be remembered and cherished. You showed the true meaning of what the Amat family is all about sir.

Dan, you and Flint were the best hiking buddies.  We are a motley crew, but we enjoyed each other, especially your corny jokes and banter.  You will be missed!

What is there to say? 
A great friend and a better person. Dan was the most authentic and genuine person I’ve ever known. You always knew what you were going to get with him, a kind word, a bit of encouragement and a laugh. 

From the first time we met at Cal State to the last time we saw each other at El Tepeyac, he was always the same, and that was a very good thing. And though life sometimes separated us for long stretches, we always seemed to stay in contact.
Danny beat me to being a grandparent and was one of the first people I talked to when My granddaughter was born. I was anxious for his input and he gave me advice that I follow to this day, “just be there”. There are people in our lives who you always expect to be there. That you know you can always count on. That was Dan.

My heart goes out to the Paredes family and everyone who knew and loved him and especially his granddaughter Emily whom he loved and adored.

I always thought we would be old men together, telling each other stories of football, family and life. But God had other plans, and if they’re playing football in heaven 
Danny will be there. So until we see each other again, God bless you brother and Godspeed.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dan.  I knew him as the Equipment Manager for the Bishop Amat Football Team.

I would come in to  measure the kids for their knee braces.  Dan was always there with a smile on his face.  Always there to help everyone in anyway he could.  He always had great stories of the past Amat Football Teams, and would often mention that his Son played for the team. He was really proud of his son Victor!

Dan was one of the nicest and kind people  I ever met  He will be missed, but never forgotten!  May he Rest In Peace.

Daniel was a genuinely kind and good person. I am grateful for having him in my life during matrimony and thereafter. He loved life and had so much more living to do.  Thank you to the Paredes family for sharing him with me up to his final days. Rest in eternal peace, Daniel.

We are deeply saddened at the loss of Dan, we will miss seeing his beautiful smile and hearing his infectious laugh. We’ll miss seeing his eyes light up every time he talked about his sweet granddaughter Emily or showed us pictures of them hiking.  We pray he rests in eternal peace and we pray for the hearts of all loved ones that had the honor of knowing Dan.
