The "Dixie" is so saddened by the passing of Randy Petch.  I will always remember him as he sat on top of his father's Proud catamaran and smoked his cigar.  
   The whole family was the best friends my family ever had,,,his father Fred was a real Saint and people knew it.

   The New World Foundation with its convention with God will pray for them to have a place in heaven.

Spring breaks on his catamaran.  I now sail and race regularly and think of "Peach" all the time.  Don't put off reaching out to friends & family!!  Sail on brother!!  ~~~/)~~*

I am devastated to just learn of the passing of Randy.  I met him when I was in High School and have many great Memories of going out on his Sailboat with him and his  Best Friend.  He was a kind, generous fun loving person and my Heart truly goes out to Cindy and his two Daughters.  We were all blessed to know him and his wonderful bright shining Personality will be truly missed.  Thinking and praying for the entire Family!❤❤❤

Dear Cindy and family,  My heart goes out to you all.  I'm so very sorry for your loss.  Randy was such a great person.  I remember as children when we were in a parade and he was dressed up like one of the Beatles.  They won first place!  Fun times! I have so many good memories of growing up in Weslaco & hanging out with Randy & band trips with the guys.  We were all fortunate & blessed to know him.  He will be very missed.  I cherish the recent memories of our recent reunion....God bless you Cindy & family as you journey on without him.

Please accept my condolences to the family of Randy.  I met Randy back in Weslaco High.  He was such a funny guy to be around school. Always with a smile on his face and laughing. I knew Randy from high school band.  He was well-liked and had a heart of gold. A great guy.  Always positive and smiling.  And he had perfect pitch!  A wonderful soul, gone too soon from this earth.

Randy was one of the kindest guys I knew in high school & I remember when my good friend Cindy fell in love with him, a match that endured time ... and which set an example for all of us. He will be rembered with love & affection. Another angel has his wings...

I’ll always remember him in band, standing in the back, in the percussion section, with the biggest grin on his face. No matter what, he always had a smile on his face. Randy, Jim Wood and I, along with Randy's parents, toured the former Soviet Union, Poland, Hungary, Romania, and East Germany together one summer, during our high school years. I frequently return to the memories of that trip along with memories of sailing with Randy, running the streets of Weslaco in the Model T and the dune buggy, and hanging banners from the high school gymnasiums in McAllen and Harlingen taunting our football rivals. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. To Cindy and all of the Petch familiy, please accept my most heartfelt condolences.

I never knew his name, but I knew his smile.  I've spent 20 years walking my dogs past Randy & Cindy's house, admiring the blossoms on the hibiscus and mesquite, the lovely balcony from which Bentley reigned, and on the days I ran into Randy, he always had a cheerful smile and a hello.  In the last year or so, I finally met Cindy as she walked her  granddog and we exchanged fawning comments over our pets...and we exchanged smiles.  Last week, I was alarmed and worried when I saw the ambulance at the house. My worst fears were realized when I picked up the paper this morning.  I was so saddened to see this news. 
 I send my most sincere condolences to Cindy and of course their daughters. I learned from Randy that everyone of us has the power to make his/her corner of the world better with a smile.  Thank you for doing that for me on my morning walks.  Godspeed sir.

Randy is a child hood friend that is gone way to soon.  My thoughts are with his family now.  I know this childhood friend is forever grateful to have known him. He seemed to have a special quality that included every walk of life, even me.
I think the world would be better off with him here but since that's not possible I'm hopeful he's sailing away......
