As a child, Olga spent most summers in Nile, Michigan picking cherries, strawberries and pickles. Olga graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School in 1968. She then married Reyes Campos in 1972. Shortly afterwards, Olga attended Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas where she earned herself a certification and began working as a Certified Nurses Assisted (CNA). Olga’s dream job was to become a nurse. A year later, Olga and Reyes began a family of their own. While traveling around the world with the military, Olga and Reyes were blessed with 5 children: Cynthia, Daniel, Patricia, Reyes, and Raquel. Olga raised her family on Godly Principles, Love and Respect.
She touched many lives by displaying a servant's heart. Olga was known for her hard working hands that always prepared homemade meals con cariño (with love). She often told others “Yo lleno con que ustedes coman.” Olga had a soft but energetic personality. Her grandchildren kept her young at heart by planning poker nights, telling jokes, eating at Chinese buffets, and taking her out on spontaneous trips. While traveling around the world and planning vacations, Olga enjoyed the company of her sisters. She treasured her family and friends and embraced every moment with them.
Olga is preceded in death by her parents, Jorge Gonzales and Julia Cruz-Gonzalez; her sister, Maria Luisa Gonzalez; her brother, Oscar Gonzalez.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, daughter Cynthia Garcia (Jose), son Daniel Campos (Yolanda), daughter Patricia Campos, son Reyes Campos (Clair), daughter Raquel Campos, her grandchildren, Lazaro (Amri), Amanda, Jose Luis (Megan), Daniel Jr (Dagan), Damian (Michaela), Esteban (Anjelyka), Marina (Landon), Estrella (Jared), Larissa (David), Reyes Jr, Ryan, Isaac, Jorge, Karina, Israel and April, her great-grandchildren, Izaiah, Brady, Emiliana, Makenzie, Ezekiel and Matthew; her siblings, Felicitas Rodriguez, Jorge Gonzalez, Olivia Garcia, Rita Barajas, Benigno Gonzalez, Victor Gonzalez and Elizabeth Vasquez.
