Jose Joaquin Lopez

Jose enjoyed fishing, golfing, BBQing and spending time with his grandchildren. He honorably served his community for 16 years as a law enforcement officer. Jose was also an active member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church and served in A.C.T.S.

He is now reunited with Joaquin Reyes Lopez, Martina Rivas Lopez, Alfonso Rivas, Hector Lopez and Leonides Lopez, who have preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Irma Lopez; children: Trisha Ann Diaz and Jose Joaquin Lopez Jr. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Brianna Lopez, Analisa Martina Diaz, Cali Jo Diaz, Karissa Ann Diaz, Jaylah Camila Lopez and Christian Joaquin Lopez. Survivors also include siblings: Rosa Rivas, Blanca Avalos, Anna Cortez, Antonio Lopez and Jorge Lopez.

Family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 3 pm to 9 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 pm, Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
