Jose Octavio Fuentes

He was born October 31,1939 in Weslaco, TX. "Tavo” was the eldest son to the late Zaragoza and Gerarda Fuentes.

His surviving siblings are: Jose Horacio Fuentes (Spouse Reyna) and Odilia Ayala (Spouse Matias). He was raised in Weslaco, TX and graduated from Weslaco High School. He was part of the marching band that wore green and gold. Crossword puzzles and Sudoku were a favorite past time of his. He enjoyed Cowboys football, Tejano music, and spending time with friends, family, and grandchildren. He adored his wife, “Pat” of 44 years.

A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A rosary will occur Friday, November 17, 2023 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 600 S. Oklahoma Ave, Weslaco, TX. An entombment will occur Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
