Jose Alberto Arriaga

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Jose Alberto Arriaga Sr. Albert was born on July 8th, 1958 and passed away on June 3rd, 2023. Albert had a sense of humor and brought joy to those around him. He cherished his role as a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Rosa Arriaga, Jose Luis Arriaga, and Silvia Miramontes. He is survived by his children, Sarah Alvarado (Santos) and Jose Alberto Arriaga, Jr (Dahlia) ; his grandchildren Aaron, Julissa, Lauren, and Lillian; and his siblings, Bentura Arriaga, Dolores Serna, Guillermina Montalvo, Refugia Ramos, Isidro Arriaga, Jr., Theresa Arriaga, Herman Arriaga, Ester Reyna, and Estella Arriaga and numerous nieces and nephews.

While our hearts ache at the loss of our beloved father, we find solace in the knowledge that he is now free from pain and suffering. We take comfort in the memories we shared.

May his soul find eternal peace, and may we cherish the time we had together.

A memorial service for Jose will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. Following the memorial service will be a rosary at 7:00 PM. A mass will occur Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Donna, TX.
