Gonzalo worked as a Medical Lab Technician at Mission Medical Hospital for many years. Although he worked hard to obtain his bachelor's degree in Health Science to dabble in teaching, his ultimate passion was being in the healthcare profession.
Gonzalo is survived by his soulmate, Marina B. Peña, who he married in 1980. Together they enjoyed traveling on road trips to go camping in Texas and Colorado, going to the movies after dining out, and DIY home projects. Every weekend they spent the days driving around the valley scouting for the best for their home, like plants, paint colors or vehicles, since they planned and created every detail of their lives together.
He is the loving father of Gabriel Peña, Jaime Peña, Armando Peña, and Georgina Peña; proud grandfather of Nathalia Kristina Peña, Andrea Emma Peña, Victoria Eva Peña, Isabella Marina Peña, Camrynn Nicole Peña, Isaac Alejandro Peña, and great-granddaughter Suzannah Joi Salas; devoted brother to his twin brother Roman G. Peña and brother Elias J. Peña.
Gonzalo was preceded in death by his father Silverio Peña and mother Concepcion Robles Peña, brother Silverio Peña Jr.; and sister Diana Elizabeth Peña.
