Frances Villegas

Frances Villegas, 55, left to be with the Lord on June 2, 2024 at her residence in Mercedes. She was born on December 14, 1968 in Lamesa, Texas to Genoveva Gonzales and Domingo Morales. Frances was a loving wife, caring mother and a kind grandmother. She loved doing arts and crafts and planning family gatherings. She loved all her family and friends. Her husband Jose Villegas was the love of her life and she was his. She loved fighting and fought hard until the end. Frances was a very unique person with a beautiful soul. She was all of our shield and sword. The most fearless person we will ever know. She will forever live on in our hearts. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Jose Manuel Villegas; her beloved children: Josie Villegas, Jose Villegas, Juan Villegas, Jackie Villegas, Juliana Villegas, Jolene Villegas. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Juan Jose Villegas, Jacob Villegas, Jesus A. Gonzales, James Villegas; her parents: Genoveva Morales & Domingo Morales; siblings: Domingo Morales Jr., Lupita Esquivel and Mary Morales. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 2 pm to 11 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm, Thursday, June 6, 2024 at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco followed by an interment at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Funeraria del Angel Highland of Welsaco.
