Edward “Eddie” Hernandez went home to the Lord on December 24, 2022. He was born on May 13, 1961. He is survived by his beloved children, Christopher Edward (Jennifer) Hernandez, Kassandra Priscilla Hernandez, Krystal Hernandez, twin daughters, Alexxis and Victoria Alexandria Hernandez, and his brothers Daniel Hernandez, Jr., Alex Rey Hernandez, Lydia Danelle Hernandez, and the Parras Family: Lazaro Parras, Judy Parras Devereaux, Bea Campos, and Diana Booth. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Daniel P. and Lillie Hernandez.
Eddie was an exceptional man. He was patient, vibrant, and tackled obstacles with his intelligence and wit. This skillset allowed him to excel in a variety of ways such as being a great father, leader, and an avid chess player. Eddie was always planning his next adventure. He loved people and liked to cheer up those in need with his playful presence and hearty laugh. He instilled in his children the ability to always find the humor and silver lining in situations. Eddie will especially be remembered for his infectious smile and child-like sense of wonder that served to ease everyone he met. He believed in dancing like no one is watching. People of all ages and walks of life sought his advice and admired his perspective.
Eddie considered fatherhood his greatest accomplishment. The walls of his home were adorned with family memories. All his children considered him a role model, their best friend, and a dad who supported every goal and celebrated each accomplishment as if it were his own. He could brighten up their day with a hug, piece of advice, or laughter and would never miss a phone call. Eddie believed his family was like a chain, wherever a link was lost, it would be recreated in Heaven.
Eddie worked as the Director of Operations at Fresenius Dialysis Clinic for 35 years; he considered them as part of the family. Eddie’s colleagues and co-workers admired him for his tireless energy, enthusiasm, optimism, and loyalty.
“Eddie was beyond a supervisor; he was a beautiful friend with a genuinely caring heart who would take the time to ask about your family and well-being. He was someone who would not shy away from adversity, he would often say, ‘there’s not a problem that can’t be solved.’ He was an exceptional mentor and leader to all of us. He was a great boss, but above everything a dear friend who is already missed.”
Eddie believed life was a luxury vacation, and Heaven is Home where we would all be together again.
