Alicia "Licha" Garcia

Alicia was born in Tijuana, Baja California on September 24, 1945 to Mr. Margarito Chabolla and his spouse, Concepcion Delgado. Alicia moved to Compton, California in 1959 at the age of 14. In 1963, Alicia met her husband, Oscar Garcia at a wedding in California and they were married a year later in 1964. Alicia and Oscar spent 16 more years in California after giving birth to Elizabeth. They would later move to Weslaco, Texas in 1980. In March of 1982, Oscar and Alicia were blessed with another daughter, Patricia. Alicia would spend the remainder of her days in Weslaco serving the Lord.

Alicia is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Oscar Garcia; daughters Elizabeth De Palma and Patricia Silva; grandchildren, Ronald De Palma II, Whitney Peralez, Brooke Dowdy and Madison Valadez; great grandchildren, Joseph Dowdy, Warren Dowdy and Oliver De Palma.

Alicia loved God and loved to share His precious Word with everyone she met. Her loyalty and commitment to her husband, daughters, family, friends and Church was most admirable. Though our hearts grieve for such loss, we are comforted by the hope that we have in The Resurrection-She is no longer suffering, and we will see her once again.

A visitation for Alicia will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, Weslaco, TX, followed by the interment at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, TX.
