Sybil Eline Todd Howard

Lake Charles - Sybil Todd Howard, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Camelot Brookside, Jennings, LA.

She was born in Welsh and lived in Lake Charles. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a graduate of Welsh High School and SLI where she received both her teaching degree and her masters +30. She taught school in Sulphur and Lake Charles for twenty three years. She also worked for the Calcasieu Police Jury for nineteen years. Ms. Sybil taught etiquette at Dillard’s in Lake Charles and Lafayette. She was also a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution Live Oak Chapter of Jennings.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Todd, JR. of Welsh; twin sister, Sylvia Todd Abbott of Jennings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30pm and resume Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh.
