Robert "Bobby" Wayne Wirtz

He enjoyed playing music, especially his bass guitar, playing his vinyl records, loved vintage cars, woodworking, and BBQing. Bobby was a jack of all trades and a master of none. Bobby loved spending time with his family and enjoyed picking at his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Penny Wirtz; his mother, Marie Darbonne; two sons, Corey Wirtz of Welsh, Todd Wirtz (Tanya) of Perry, LA; one brother, Reggie Wirtz (Amanda) of Mermentau, LA; two sisters, Jonette Gullett (Donnie) of Jennings, Monette Wirtz of Evangeline, LA; three grandchildren, Kaylin, Emma, and Dane.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Jack" Wirtz; and his daughter, Charity.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at 2:00pm, with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Sunday, beginning at 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Bon Pasteur Cemetery.
