Minnie Daigle Sonnier

Minnie (Daigle) Sonnier, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Golden Age of Welsh Nursing Home. She was born to Lufroi and Alexandrine Daigle on June 20, 1923 in Niblett, LA. She was a charter member of the Welsh Church of Christ. She loved to sing and enjoyed bible study, being with friends and family, playing cards, and traveling.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda LeBlanc of Lake Charles, Bernadine (Kenneth) Dugas of Lake Arthur; three granddaughters, Monique (Scott) McGee, Hope (John) Quibodeaux, both of Lake Arthur, Monique LeBlanc of Lake Charles; two grandsons, Josh (Kelli) LeBlanc of Lake Charles, Mark (Beth) LeBlanc of Kingwood, TX.; great grandchildren, Jonas, Christian, Adam, Trey, Zack, Kainen, Alec, Drew, Madison, Avery, Lilah Rae; great great grandchildren, Gunnar, Gaige, Ava, Aniston, along with Ava Jade.

Minnie is preceded in death by her husband, Austin Sonnier; daughter Cheryl Sonnier; her parents; son in law, Arnold LeBlanc; brothers, Clyde, Howard, Rivres “Jake”; and sisters, Mattie, and Bernice.

Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the funeral home from 3:00pm until 8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh.
