Born in Crowley, LA to Matthew Joseph & Mary Catherine Meyer.
Johanna worked as a medical secretary for Dr. A.C. Broussard for many years, then went on to work for Dr. Elio Anglarill in Welsh, LA. She retired as a medical billing coder with The Schumacher Group in Jennings, LA.
She is survived by a son Leland “Buddy” Cormier Jr.; daughter Terri Jo Dieterich (Dowd); grandchildren Kade Fontenot (Elizabeth), Morgan Johnson (John Calvin), and Graham Dieterich; great- granddaughter Katherine Fontenot; and brothers Michael Meyer and Steve Meyer (Sharon).
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter- Stephanie Fontenot; a grandson- Joshua Cain Cormier.
Brothers Charles Meyer, Ray Meyer, Edwin Meyer, Louis Meyer, John Allen Meyer, Clyde Meyer, Matthew Meyer, Tommy Meyer, sister- Jane Coble, & special companion – Phillip McCarty.
Pallbearers Dowd Dieterich, Grahm Dieterich, John Calvin Johson, Aidan Stark, and Tony Bourque.
Visitation will be Friday, October 29, 2021 from 5 pm until 8 pm, with a rosary at 6:30 pm and resume Saturday October 30, 2021 at 8 am until the time of the service at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial will immediately follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
