Janice Marcantel Klein

Janice was born to the late Luther Emile Marcantel and Mildred Mary Hay Marcantel. She grew up on a horse and cattle farm in Hecker, LA. She served as a secretary for Hebert Cemetery for many years. She was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Lacassine, LA. Janice was the owner and office administrator of Jan’s Construction Company, Inc. in Iowa for many years and prior to their business, she was a hairstylist. She loved life, her family, and looked forward to coffee time every day where she, coworkers, family, and friends spent quality time, she especially liked spending time with her grandchildren and being involved in their activities.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Paul Klein of Iowa, LA; daughters: Dana Heinen and husband Mark of Fenton, La, and Lauren Klein of Iowa, LA; son, Kevin Klein and wife Simone of Dothan, AL; Sister: Lorelle Davis and husband Don of Iowa, LA; brothers, Buddy Marcantel and wife Sheila, and Mark Marcantel and wife Darla all of Iowa, LA; grand-children: Cade Heinen, Will Heinen, Brennan Travis, Ashton Klein, Morgan Klein; nephews: Bobby Miller, Eric Miller, John Davis, Sherman Marcantel, Cody Marcantel and Mike Marcantel; many cousins, great nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Alex Heinen.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh, LA. A rosary service will take place at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Roland Vaughn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fenton Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh, LA.

The family has requested any love donations or contributions be made in Janice’s memory to St. John’s Catholic Church of Lacassine or St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton.
