Darrell Louis Meyer, age 65, of Welsh, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Darrell was born on January 13, 1959 to Charles J. Meyer and Agnes McCown Meyer.

Darrell loved fishing with his grandkids at Big Lake, shrimping, and crawfish farming.

Darrell was preceded in death by his son, Devin Chad Meyer, his parents, and his brothers, Charles Jr, Kenneth, and Anthony Meyer.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bernadette Meyer; his sons, Brandon Meyer (Jessica) and Justin Meyer (Claudia); his daughter, Nicky Meyer (Ross); his sister, Debbie Calloway (Quintin); 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh followed by a Scripture Service beginning at 2:30 p.m. Deacon Mike Tramel will officiate services. Burial will follow in Bon Pasteur Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh.
