Daniel Edward "Danny" Hicks Jr.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He had a big heart and loved his children and was mentor to other kids.

He is survived by his mother, Cindy Diedrich; sons, McKale Hicks and Macey Hicks; daughter, McKay Hicks; sisters, Christine Hicks and Jamie Hicks Lee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Edward Hicks Sr.

His funeral will be 10am, Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. The Deacon Wayne Chapman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Granville Farquhar, David Richard, Hud Moore, Elliott Ardoin, Craig Simon and Karl Arceneaux. Honorary Pallbearer will be Paul Hicks. Visitation will begin Wednesday 4pm-9pm with a rosary and scripture reading at 7pm and resume Thursday 8am until service time. Burial will be in Bon Pasteur of Welsh.
