Claude Joseph Aucoin Sr.

Claude worked as a Pipefitter in construction for over 40 years. Claude loved woodworking in his spare time.

Claude was preceded in death by parents, Eunice John and Ivy O'Blanc Aucoin, great-granddaughter, Leighanne Nicole Mangrum, and three brothers, Bootsie, Jimmy, and Daniel Aucoin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Bernice Deshotel Aucoin; son, Claude "Dozey" Aucoin, Jr. and wife, Tammie; son, Ricky Aucoin; daughter, Patty Aucoin Reed and husband, David; 9 grandchildren, Bradley Mangrum, Jeremy Mangrum, Ashlyn Aucoin, Ashley Marange, Kylie Marcantel, Alex Burhans, William Reed, Makayla Felice, Ace Reed; 8 great-grandchildren, Brady, Charleigh, Nora, Emberly, Aria, Delilah, Amelia, and Grayson; and one on the way!

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh and visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh with Rev. Dennis House officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
