Charles Willie Guillory 87 of Welsh passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 and was born March, 23 1931 to Charles Clifton Guillory and Vernie Louviere in Welsh LA. He attended Welsh High School and was the first quarterback of the sixman football team. Charles served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He was an employee for Citgo Petroleum and retired after 27 years of service. Charles loved spending time with his entire family and especially loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing with his sons , creating a garden each year and loved sharing his vegetables with family and friends.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; half-brother George Royer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, of 65 years, Esther Mae Conner Guillory; children, Barbara Mott of Welsh, LA, Arnold (Peggy) Guillory of Welsh, LA, Nancy (Clark) Peterson of Welsh, LA, Kenzie (Renee) Guillory of Carlyss, LA; sister Margie Guillory Kebodeaux; 9 grand children and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 5pm until 9pm with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:30pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11am.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors on Thursday at 1pm. Burial to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery of Welsh, LA.
