Carline Meche

Mrs. Meche enjoyed reading, Elvis music, casinos, pokeno and scrabble with her sister. She worked at the post office. Her grandkids loved having her cook breakfast for them. She was always a caregiver and she was a great “joker”.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Huntor Meche (Missy); daughters, Pamela Faye Meche (Jerry Hargrave Jr.), Paula Kaye Granger and husband, Benny and Penny Gail Fontenot and husband, Rocky; sister-in-law, Peggy Oliver and husband, Russell; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Meche; parents, Johnathan and Florine McCown Sr.; sisters, Margaret Mae Benoit, Agnes Ruth Meyers and Thelma Davis; brothers, Johnathan Wilbur McCown and Johnathan Ezra McCown Jr.

Her funeral will be 1pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Pam Roy will officiate. Visitation will begin Tuesday 5pm-9pm at the Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh and resume 9am until service time. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
