He was born December 12, 1932, in Thornwell, LA to Clyde and Alia Doucet Daigle. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Harold Daigle.
Surviving is his wife Marlene Daigle of Welsh, three sons, Alvin Daigle and partner Dan Plato of Atlanta, GA, Donald Daigle and wife Dawn of Sulphur, and Doley Daigle and wife Cathy of St. Paul, MN, two daughters, Angela Hyle and partner Darla Tapley of Houston, TX and Misty Evans and husband Ben of Independence, LA. Also surviving are three sisters, Audrey Daboval and husband Pierre, Jeanette Broussard and husband J.B. and Sherrion Sonnier and husband Champ all of Welsh, eight grandchildren, Ashton, Clayton, Aaron, Kaley, Amber, Mark, Thomas and Elizabeth and nine great-grandchildren.
Alvin served in the U.S Marine Corps and worked as a Paralegal for Norman Thigpin. He loved working on cars, lawnmowers and anything motorized. He was a professional at mowing his lawn. He was a kind and generous man that would help anyone in need and expected nothing in return. He had a quick wit and loved to visit with anyone that would listen to him talk.
The family would like to thank the Welsh Police and Fire Department and Heart of Hospice for the wonderful care and concern shown to the family.
A memorial service will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh with visitation from 1 to the start of service.
