Born in Provincetown to Ernestine (Davis) and George Adams.
Tom met the love of his life June (Gross). They were blessed with 62 years of marriage and five children.
Tom’s career spanned from his early years when he proudly served in the Navy followed by the Coast Guard and retired from the Wellfleet Post Office. In typical Cape Cod fashion, he always had side jobs. Everything from carpentry, volunteer fireman, to special police.
Tom enjoyed life to its fullest. His passions included sailing, scuba diving, camping, beach rides to Race Point, jig saw puzzles, and especially working on and driving his 1941 Willy’s Jeep with his brother George. His infectious smile and twinkle in his eyes will be missed.
Tom is survived by his wife June, and their five children: Sheila (Robert) Paine of Wellfleet, Thomas C Adams of Wellfleet, Julie Adams of Wellfleet, Virginia Adams (Charles Rockwood) of North Venice, FL, and Mary Lloyd of Wellfleet. Grandchildren: Jennifer, Allison, Nicole, Elizabeth, Christopher, Austin, Nathan, Kenneth and Dylan. Great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Amanda, Eli, Leo, Emelia, Adrianna, Kayla, Nolan, Rosalie and Eloise. His sister Dorothy Gaspie of Lakeland, FL. And many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his stepfather Manuel Silva, and his brothers George, Ernest, Richard, Wallace, and Howard Adams.
Visiting hours will be held at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 340 Main Street, Wellfleet on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4:00pm–6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Wellfleet United Methodist Church on Saturday April 24 at 11:00 with limited attendance.
