Mary Crocker Fassett, an accomplished artist, died on Monday, August 15th at the Seashore Point Wellness Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts at the age of 101. Her father, Truman Edmund Fassett, himself an artist, rained her as a painter, and she continued her training at Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Her artistic style was inspired by the great Renaissance painters of Europe. Her abundant work ranged from vivid portraits to imaginative scenes reminiscent of the work of Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel. She is survived by her son, Truman Bewley, his wife Ann-Fran çoise, four grandchildren, Gregory Bewley (Naomi), Arnaud Bewley (Abigail), Marie Brubacher (Jacob), and Benoit Bewley (Anna), and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held later in her honor in Truro, MA in October. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com.
