Kevin J. Fitzgerald

Kevin passed away peacefully at his home on December 26, 2013 surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous three year battle with leukemia and a bilateral lung transplant. Kevin was a student at Nauset Regional High School. Though he missed much time at school, he kept up with his studies at home and in the hospital. Kevin was an amazing athlete excelling at basketball. He also loved all extreme sports and was an avid skate boarder, snow boarder, and

surfer which he spent countless hours doing with his brothers. Any challenge that Kevin was faced with, he would overcome.

He leaves behind his parents Jennifer and John Fitzgerald and his brothers Michael and Sean Fitzgerald all of Wellfleet. He also leaves behind Auntie Toni, Uncle Jeff Horton, cousins Jeffrey and Victoria of Tewksbury, Uncle Mike Wallick, cousins Leandra and Aurora of Wellfleet, Grandparents Shaun Fitzgerald of Wellfleet, and Carol Johnson of Eastham and John Wallick of Florida.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 340 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA. His funeral service will held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. First Congregation Church of Wellfleet, 200 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA, followed by his burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Wellfleet.
