Born October 19,1933, the son of Margaret E. (Williams) and John V. Morris, he was a lifelong Provincetown resident. During the Korean war, he served with the United States Marine Corp, stationed at Camp Lejune, North Carolina.
After discharge, he returned to Provincetown and continued his love of the water, working on several Provincetown-based scallop and fishing boats. But most of all he loved his parking lot, Central Parking, where you would find him singing while directing cars into his lot.
Donald was a loving parent to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marion Joseph, Donna Morris and Donald Morris Jr, all of Provincetown survive him. Grandchildren, Sherry and Caitlin Hog, Erica Perry and her partner Nick Hazen, and Tanya Swaby and her husband Jason, along with 4 great-grandchildren, and his brother Leland Morris of Middletown NJ also survive him.
He was predeceased by brothers Creighton Morris of Harwich, John Morris of Yarmouth, and sister Ernestine Michaels of Provincetown.
Family and friends are invited to a visiting hour Tuesday, June 18th from 10:00-11:00 am at St. Peter's the Apostle Church, 11 Prince St, Provincetown. A Funeral Mass will follow, and burial, with military honors, will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
