Cynthia L. Doherty

Born in 1950 to the late, James and Louise Meads, of Provincetown, Ma.

As a child, she loved to take care of her younger sister Amanda and brother Jay. Family was the most important thing to her.

She joined "The Sparky's" a Jr. firefighter club her father, former Fire Chief Meads had started.

Cindy graduated from Provincetown High School in 1968.

After graduation she went on to marry her high school sweetheart the late, David "Bootsie" Carreiro and started her family.

Cindy was a life long bartender until she had to retire, she loved her job and people she met along the way.

Cindy was an avid crafter, had an amazing eye for design, and decorating. She called her crafting "her therapy".

Cindy was the Mother of 5 children, Joel Carreiro and his wife Serena Carreiro of Maine, Che Carreiro and his spouce Jill Lambrou of Provincetown, Audra Mayfield and her husband Matthew Mayfield of Brewster, Amy Houghton and her husband Jack Houghton of New Bedford, Amanda Doherty who is predeceased and her spouse Steven Caminiti. Grandchildren, Ariel Carreiro, Dylan Carreiro, Brooke Carreiro, Nathaniel Czyoski, Jocelyn Pelletier, Ella Mayfield, Ethan Mayfield, and Ayla Caminiti. Great Grandchildren Arianna Allmon, Sylas Suonpera, Alaya Suonpera, Brayden Dodd.

She had several "BONUS" children and grandbabies, cherished cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Cindy was the big sister to Amanda Morris and her Husband Barry Morris of Truro and James "Jay" Meads also of Truro, who she loved very much and had a very special bond with both. Her sister Audrey Lee Meads predeceased her.

Cindy had an incredible sense of humor and could make the best of any situation. Her smile could light up a room. She was an incredible woman, she will be missed beyond measure.

Viewing for Cynthia are Friday December 6th at Nickerson Funeral Home in Wellfleet from 4-7.

Funeral service Saturday December 7th at St. Peter's Church in Provincetown at 10, burial to follow.
