Zachary Steven Patton

Zachary “Zac” Steven Patton, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, was born on February 18, 1976 and passed from this life on August 21, 2020 at the age of 44. He is survived by his wife, Chen Patton, daughters, Alexis and Audrey, parents Cynthia and Dennis Patton, sister, Melissa Patton McDaniel and husband Donald McDaniel, and brother, James Tate (J.T.) and wife Roxie Patton. His six nieces: Piper, Ava, Adelaide, Yardley, Paige and Haley will miss his loving presence.

Zachary was a lifelong resident of Friendswood, Texas and attended Friendswood schools from Kindergarten to twelfth grade. He participated in the Friendswood Soccer League for many years and was a letterman on the Friendswood High School soccer team. He graduated from the University of Houston and was a Registered Nurse.

At the time of his passing, he was in the middle of his internship in the nurse practitioner program. His professional experience included 20 years as an emergency room nurse and also in medical research. As a nurse, he was a sympathetic and gentle professional who helped patients through difficult and traumatic circumstances. In his spare time, he enjoyed his family and enthusiastically supported all Houston sports teams.

A visitation gathering service celebrating Zac’s life will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Wednesday September 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. All friends and family are welcome.
