Bill was born September 9, 1957 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born to his loving parents Helen W. Brown Jobe and the late William E. Jobe, Sr. He is survived by his sister Jerry Jobe , his Uncle Larry and Aunt Sandy Jobe.
Also, he is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 29 years Laurie Dekker Jobe, stepdaughter Heather and Jaime Barrios, daughter Freda and Brian Crawford, and son Timothy Jobe. As well as eight grandchildren starting with Aundre Barrios, Aleq Barrios, Angel Crawford, Maddi Crawford, Briar Crawford, Stormi Crawford, Donavan Jobe, and Carol Jobe.
He had an amazing education and large group of friends starting at Dobie High School in 1975, Texas A & M, U of H Clear Lake, to SMU for Seminary in 1983.
Bill was a member of the Texas Annual Conference for 44 years. His status in the United Methodist Church was Deacon in 1981 to Elder in 1986 to 2021. His pastoral journey started with Wheelock UMC in 1977 at 19 years of age, which was an accomplishment at that age. Bill worked his way to Chair of Disability and Camping Comity within the Methodist Annual Conference. The Youth Groups at many of the churches he ministered to, he was very dedicated to. For 34 years everyone knew that Bill would be at Lakeview as a counselor, director then reached his way to co-coordinator. Due to his dedication at Lakeview Methodist Conference Center, there is a bench with name on it.
Everyone knew his passion for music. Bill enjoyed softball and little league as he served as a coach and empire many times. He learned to play the piano at a young age from his mom. In high school enjoyed tennis, band, year-book staff, and many activities.
