Tommy Wayne Simmons passed away July 25, 2014 in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 84. He was born on October 21, 1929 in Woodworth, Louisiana to Enos Leamon Simmons and wife Edith. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Glen, Wymann, and James D. Simmons; sisters Juanita Perkins and Connie Hill. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Simmons; sister Edith Howard; brother-in-law B.H. Perkins; children Sherrie Jennings and husband David, Wayne Simmons and wife Marlo, Rhonda Nunez and Husband Bret, Kellie Rogers and husband Paul, Bryan Hoffpauir and wife Julie. Eight Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. Tommy served his country proudly in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Tommy retired from GATX Terminals in Pasadena/Galena Park, Texas after 40 years of service also; Tommy was a member of Sagemont Church in Houston. The family will receive visitors on Monday July 28th from 5:00p.m. till 8:00p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Tuesday July 29th at 10:00a.m. in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home followed immediately with his interment in Forest Park East Cemetery.
