Thad was one of my best friends at work, and shortly, just a very personal friend. He always helped anyone who needed it. My daughter, Dottie, worked for Thad's wife Sherri, and they became very good friends also. With that connection, Thad became an even closer friend, as we had more than just work in our friendship.

Thad was great fun. Either alone or in a group, he always had something good, complementary, informative, to say, or had a funny story. He laughed a lot. I will miss Thad, co-worker, but much more, a dear friend. My sympathies are with Sherri, and her whole family.

Dear Sherri-  I wish we would of had more family gatherings so we could have known Thad better.  I loved hearing about your relationship & how happy he made all of you.  We are here for you always...whatever you need.  Love you, Melanie & James

Thad always seemed to look for the bright side of a situation and found it, even in the darkest times.  His jokes always brightened the day (even when I was blamed for some of them).  :)  We miss him dearly.

Dear Sherry and Family,
Thad was a wonderful person.  We miss him dearly.  His cheerful smile and can do attitude was an inspiration to us all.

Thad always had a smile on his face and a nice word to say.  We will miss him greatly in PCS.  He talked often of you, Sherry, his daughters and especially his grand-daughters.  I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Thad was such a happy person.  You could tell how much he enjoyed life.  He was always very kind even in receiving news of problems with software he knew he was going to have to fix.  He brightened up the office with his eagerness to take care of his "customers".  He will be greatly missed.

It’s when someone passes that we truly look at the person’s character. It is something to be said when there are only a handful of unpleasant memories amongst millions of wonderful ones.  A close family member once stated that Thad is the only person he has known for longer than five years that he had not had a single negative memory about.  He was always smiles and sarcasm, upbeat, positive and willing to help in any situation.   When it came to Thad’s integrity, there was never a time when he would not be ethical.  He tried his hardest to be a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend and he succeeded.  There was not a better marriage than the one he shared with my mom.  He was devoted to her; mind, body, and soul.  They shared everything together and neither one of them would have had it any other way.  Their relationship only grew stronger after they said their vows.  It was as if they were two teenagers in love for the first time, instead of a couple who has been together for nearly twenty five years.  Everyone who saw their marriage would comment on how they hoped to one day be as lucky.  When his oldest daughter, my sister,  found the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, she told me “Heather, I’ve found my Thad.”

Thad, my husband, my best friend, the love of my life...no words will ever express how much you will be missed.

Our prayers are with you and your family. Thad was a fine man and a good friend. He will be missed. God bless you.

This breaks my heart to hear of the sad news of losing Thad... I will miss seeing him mow the yard each weekend and the hello or wave he gave me when I walked the dogs pass your house.
