Stacey Jeanne Jackovich Goldberg was born on June 24, 1965 in New York. She spent her childhood in New York with her mother, father, four older sisters and older brother. The family then made the big move, when Stacey was young, to League City Texas. Between New York and Texas Stacey always had a love for the beach and spent as much time as she could soaking up the sun and catching waves. She attended Clear Creek High School, home of the wild cats, where she was an athletic trainer. She continued her passion for athletics when she received a scholarship to be a trainer at University of Houston. During her time in college she got to work with University of Houston’s Phi Slama Jama, their famous basketball team, that included Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon and Clyde "The Glide" Drexler. Stacey graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine.
After college, she got a job working at a Chiropractic office, where she met Paul. Stacey and Paul both have a love for animals, sports and the beach. They were married overlooking Clear Lake on December 30, 2000. They were happily married for 19 years. They lived in Clear Lake, Texas, Las Vegas Nevada and decided to retire to the beach in Panama City, Florida. They spent as many days as they could soaking up the sun and playing with their puppies. Stacey’s true passions were animals, the beach and her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Stanley Jackovich, and her sisters Carolyn Beach and Suzanne Schneider. Stacey is survived by her loving husband Paul Goldberg, and his children Naomi, Allison and Brooke. Her mother Aldona, older brother Richard, his wife Donna and their children Dacia and Alexander. Her older sister Fran and her husband Ray, and their children, Kim, Amy, Jeff, Heather and Sarah. Her older sister Cynthia and her husband Chad, as well as their children, Daniel, David, Dylan and Dawnlyn. Her niece and nephews from New York, Jillian, Erika, KC, Keegan and Patrick. Her dogs Milkyway and Summer, her best friend Brandon the bird and her many beach buddies.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
