Sarah Gertrude Jordan Blackwell Thorne

Sarah Gertrude Jordan Thorne, born June 24, 1925, went to join the Lord December 10, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents Lee Vester and Nettie May Luby Blackwell; her husband, J. D. Jordan; her son, Richard Wayne Jordan; two brothers, Marvin Blackwell and Edwin "Buddy" Blackwell; and sister, Margie Cowan Blackwell.She is survived by her daughter, Robin Jordan Voigt and husband, Rick; daughter-in-law, Jean Jordan; sisters, Elnora Fontenot, O'Dessa Coston and husband Wilmer, sister-in-law, Zita Blackwell; five grandchildren, Troy Jordan and wife Vanessa, Rusty Jordan and wife Kendal, Donna Jordan Ruby and husband Shawn, Amber Voigt Moseley and husband Bobby, and Bryan Voigt and wife Courtney; and seven great grandchildren.Viewing will be held December 13, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with services on December 14th at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel.
