Rose Marie Edwards

Born November 21,1929 in Grand Cane, Louisiana, the family moved to Alice, Texas where Rose completed schooling. There, she met and married Douglas Edwards and had three sons Jonathan, Charles (& Nora), and Robert (& Jennifer) while moving around Texas and Louisiana oil fields. Rose spent 47 years in Texas City where she worked at Gulf Chemical and Metallurgical Company and achieved Master rank and Chapter President in Beta Sigma Phi with over 50 years of service. Later, she moved to Austin where she lived under the kind care of the Westminster Manor staff.

Rose leaves behind five grandchildren - David and Pamela from Charles and Jeannie Au; Rhiannon and Bryce from Robert and Jennifer Marien; Aaron from Charles and Nora Villanueva; and one great granddaughter Quinn from David and Ashley Kimura.

A graveside inurnment for Rose will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:30 am at Forest Park East Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
