He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He started his plumbing profession in 1970. Then became a journeyman plumber 1971 and then a master plumber 1975. He owned Ochoa Plumbing Co. and R & R Plumbing Co.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Martha Ochoa and brother Roger Ochoa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Carol G. Ochoa; children Richard Ochoa, Jr. and girlfriend Michelle Villanueva, Linda O. Brown and husband Rick, Ramiro Ochoa and wife Megan and Ruben Ochoa and wife Amy; grandchildren Keith, Megan, Veronica and husband Adam, Jake, Jonathan, Cameron, Raymond, and Ryan; great-granddaughter Leia; nine brothers and sisters Lupe Ochoa & wife Lupita, Olga O. Montes and husband Leonard, Edward Ochoa, Elida O. Alvarez, Estella O. Martinez, Ramiro Ochoa, Hortencia Ochoa, Robert Ochoa, and Martha Ochoa; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Richard will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. and a committal to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
