Renate A. Klepacz, 93, of the Houston and Texas City areas passed away on March 23, 2025. She was born in Berlin, Germany on June 16, 1931, to Otto and Marie Rudolph. She was married to Walter Klepacz, Sr for over 45 years before his passing in 1997.
She came to the USA as a war bride in the 1950’s and taught herself English while travelling the world with her Air Force husband and her 4 children. After retirement the family settled in Genoa, TX and met lifelong friends. Renate was beloved by everyone that met her. She was kind, caring and very quick witted. She loved all her family unconditionally. She was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. One of Renate’s highlights in her later life was working in the food pantry for the church where she met several good friends. She also had a passion for crocheting and bingo and taking short road trips with her daughter and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband Walter Klepacz, Sr., and son Walter Klepacz, Jr. and his wife Natalie.
She is survived by children Fred (Sandy) Klepacz, Kathleen (Kenneth) Cambiano, and Mark (Deborah) Klepacz; grandchildren Kristina, Karina, Lisa, Joey, Brandon, Amanda, Kenny, Jenny, Kyle, Travis, and Caroline; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Renate will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service to start at 2:00 pm and a reception to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, TX.
