Ray Andrew Traylor

Ray Andrew Traylor passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 in League City, Texas at the age of 88. He was born on December 25, 1925 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Versie Andrew Traylor and Katheryne Phillips Traylor. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bobby and Ed Traylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Maxine Traylor; son Danny Traylor and wife Roberta; granddaughters Sarah, Monica and Kelly; stepdaughter Sandra Jaco and husband Gerald; step grandchildren Randy, Rodney, Rachel Jaco and April Grigg. Ray was a member of the Park Place Masonic Lodge #1172 as well as the Arabia Shriners. He was a past president of the Nasa Bay Shrine Club and a past president of the Arabia Steel Bandits. He was also a past president of the Corpus Christi and Houston Gem and Mineral Society and was a member of the Rockhound Stone Cutting and Jewelry Casting Group. Ray enjoyed baseball, golf, hunting, and fishing and was a life time member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Ray retired from the Utility Supply Company as their Sales Manager. The family will receive visitors from 5:00PM till 8:00PM on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. A celebration of Ray’s life will be conducted in the chapel of the funeral home, Friday, September 26, 2014 at 12:30PM followed by interment services in Forest Park East Cemetery.
