Perry was born September 8, 1940 to Paul Edward Estes and Lois Earline Morgan Estes of Kingsland, Arkansas.
Perry moved to Houston in 1959 looking for work. This is where he met his wife Regina Faye Hart. The two were wed on December 2, 1961 and were married for 59 years. Perry and Regina had two children, Cheryl Ann Estes and Darryl Dwayne Estes. After numerous odd jobs, Perry began his career in the plastics industry at a local plastic company. Perry later started his own company, Southwest Quality Molding, where he owned and operated for more than 40 years, some of that time with his business partner, and close friend Jim Moses.
Perry was an honest, giving and humble man who always considered others before himself. Perry had a strong work ethic and believed the only way to be successful is through hard work.
Personally, Perry loved spending time with his family, being around the water and fishing.
