I just learned that we've lost you Peggy. You were my first mentor and a treasured friend while we were in each other's lives. I think of you often.

Precious Peggy, I wish I had known sooner.
I left Texas many years ago but I will always remember and love the Meineke girls.  My arrival in Mt Vernon created some controversy. Peggy and Debbie were my first (& only girlfriends:)  I felt so welcome in their home.  I will always cherish the love and kindness……their beauty, inside and out.

Doesn’t seem possible that a year has gone by. I treasure the memories of both you and your mother. 

Peggy was a special person and I loved her for being so kind and generous to everyone she knew  .
She was also very fun loving and 
my fondest memories were when she was in college and I lived in 
Austin , we would often go tubing
down the river laughing and having so much fun  ! 
      I will always cherish my 
    memories of Peggy and all
    of the fun we had together  !

I remember when you guys first moved into the neighborhood.  Not only did you each have your own bedroom, you had the entire floor.  We had so many great times together with the trampoline and Cheri's Vega, it's hard to narrow it to just one.  One thing that stands out is you guys had a microwave before anyone knew what that was.  I remember being hungry once and Debbi just took a steak out of the freezer, popped it in the microwave and I just stood there dumbfounded.  Very uncommon for me but I loved the steak.  You three always made us all feel at home.  I love your entire family and know what a hole it leaves when you lose one especially at a young age.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers and if it would not have been for my surgery, you know I would have been there.

Peggy was such a special friend to me, we spent a lot of time together. I enjoyed all the days we spent sewing, I learned so much about quilting! 
She was a wonderful mom to all her dogs, each one had a special place in her heart! 
Peggy had a huge heart, she was always there to lend a helping hand. She had so many talents, she made all the beautiful floral arrangements for Misty’s wedding and we got to see first hand her great skill in decorating! My daughter and I are so grateful that we had the chance to get to know and love her! I’m sure she will be greatly missed by many!

Can remember how happy Luci was when Peggy started quilting with us.  Didn’t take long for us to love Peggy and appreciate her quilting expertise.  She was a kind, loving person and we’re going to miss you Peggy.

I was so sad to hear that Peggy had passed. She will certainly be missed. I will always have loving memories of her at quilt retreat and the talks and laughs we all shared with her.   My sincere condolences to your family.

Peggy you are so missed!  You came into my life when your mother got you started quilting. So many memories from our retreats. So many memories from lunch at your home. So many laughs and so little time.  Just like your mother, you were always willing to share all you could with others.  You inspired my kitchen and yard makeover and let me come look and take pictures of yours. Love you and miss you. 

OMG, I really do not know where to start!!  Well they were the 3 Musketeers of Mt Vernon.  Cheri, Debbie and Peggy ran together when they were younger.  All 3 had changed my life in so many ways. I remember bouncing from each of the girl's bedrooms (no pun intended)  when I came to visit, we had so much fun with each other especially on the trampoline!  Peggy was the little sister, but she was the tallest, I will never forget her.  God Bless you my friend go in PEACE. I Love You Peggy

The Meineke family has been so dear to me for many, many years.  I am saddened of the passing of sweet Peggy.  So many cherished and special memories.  Cheri and Debbie, you are so loved and we grieve with you.  Deepest sympathy and much love to you and your family.  Prayers,  hugs and peace.
