on December 17, 2014. The third of six children, Pat was born to Douglas and Flores
Oldmixon on January 31, 1930, in Warrington, FL. After moving to Texas with her family
in her younger years, Pat made the Great State her home.
Pat married the love of her life, Earl Calhoun, on February 18, 1949. February of 2015
would have marked the 66th anniversary of their marriage. In a house full of love,
together they raised their three children: Dan, Brad, and Becky. She spent her life loving
and caring for her family and all those with whom she made contact.
Pat’s great legacy of love continues in those of us who remain to be reunited with her in
Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Earl, 92; sons Dan (Jane), and Brad (Lisa)
Calhoun; daughter Becky (Steve) Griffie; and her adored grandchildren Michael, John,
Michelle, Ashlin, Jaxon, Autumn, Nicholle, Kasey, and Kelly. She was also so proud of
her great grandchildren Levi, Cole, Courtney, Noah, Ian, Logan, Andres, Rebecca, and
Abel. Patsy, as she was lovingly called by her side of the family, is also survived by her
beloved sisters Carol and Colette. Aunt Patsy also leaves behind numerous nieces and
nephews.
Rejoicing with her in Heaven are her father and mother, Douglas and Flores Oldmixon;
brothers, Richard and Donald Oldmixon; and sister, Joan Oldmixon Murray.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Pat’s memory to the
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering through the International Mission Board of the Southern
Baptist Convention.
Luke 10:27

your strength and with all of your mind; and, love your neighbor as yourself. (NIV)
