Nancy Janice Stafford, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on November 5, 2023. She was born on January 23, 1953, to Paul Emmett Dement and Margery Juanita Butterby Dement. Nancy graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1971 and embarked on a successful career at Van Waters and Rodger’s, where she dedicated 38 years of service until her retirement in 2018.
Throughout her life, Nancy found immense joy in the company of her family and friends, engaging in activities that brought her the greatest happiness. She loved bike riding, wine tasting, running marathons, and passionately followed college football and the Houston Astros. However, her most cherished moments were spent with her two sons, Nick and Shawn, and her adored grandchildren.
Nancy was an extraordinary person, radiating beauty both inside and out. Her warm heart and infectious laughter touched the lives of all who knew her. Her absence will be deeply felt by those who loved her.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Emmett Dement and Margery Juanita Dement.
She is survived by her two sons Nick Stafford and wife Autumn and Shawn Stafford and wife Danielle. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Evan Stafford, Reagan Stafford, and Everett Lynn. Nancy is also survived by her sister, Karren Thompson; nieces Alysha Blakeway, Robin Packard and husband Luke along with her great-nephews Lane Packard Landry Blakeway who affectionately called her "grandma" and Grayson Packard.
Additionally, she leaves behind her best friend, Renee Henderson, who shared countless cherished memories with her. Lastly her beloved companion Bailey.
In honoring Nancy's life, let us remember her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. May her memory forever live on in our hearts.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to start at 11:00 a.m. and a committal service to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Stafford family.
