Myron “MB” Haskins, “Crossed the Bar,” June 21, 2012. He was born in Mobile, Alabama September 25, 1919. Graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile and graduated from U.S. Marinetime Service Officers School in New London, Connecticut. He served in every theatre of operations in World War II with the U.S. Merchant Marine and the Army transport service. After the war he sailed on combinations passenger –Cargo ships for Alcoa S.S. Co. and United Fruit Co. as an Engineer. He was employed by Houston Lighting and Power Co. in 1948 and retired in 1980 after 32 years of service.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, June. Survived by his daughter Michele Haskins.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Monday , June 25, 2012 at 10:00am also at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
