Melissa Lynn Mendez

Melissa was born on November 5, 1973, to Jesus Corpus and Irene Mendez.

Melissa was preceded by her father Jesus Corpus Mendez, grandmother Gabriela Mendez and grandfather Santos Silva. She is survived by her daughters Marissa Jones and husband Max, Mariah Torres, son Mitchell Mendez, grandkids Jayden Mendez, Ariana Chavez, Noel Chavez and Seiya Vincent Mendez, mother Irene Mendez, grandmother Silvia Silva Herrera, brother Jesus C. Mendez, Jr. and wife Mercedes, her only niece Mia Nicole Mendez, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

We lost a special one with Melissa, who was kind, loving and giving. She had a heart of gold with a contagious smile that could brighten any gloomy day. Melissa enjoyed spending time with her family and was always interested in what was cooking. The love she had for her kids was like no other.

She will forever be missed. As she would always tell her older daughter Marissa, "This is never goodbye,

just see ya later!"

A visitation for Melissa will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
